Which language do you want to learn?

This site is great! I especially like the daily sentence and word sent to my email, its great for just keeping my mind fresh. Great job with this site :) thank you for creating it and putting so much work into it!

I have been a premium member for more than a year and am using it to reinforce my vocabulary. There are several things that I admire about it's approach. The 'Loop' concept is very simple and straightforward, and is akin to having a flashcard pile to work on. The interconnectedness of words and sample sentences is fantastic, not just to reinforce the meaning & usage of the words, but by the fact that you can click on other words in the sample sentences allows us to explore in an unstructured fashion, words and sentences that are of interest. The naturally recorded voices reading the words and sentences--this to me is the clincher, as it allows us to learn the proper pronunciation, as well as to practice listening skills. Finally, I like the simple value-add features that didn't have to be there, but add quite a bit of value: the daily sentence email, quizzes, and especially, the dialogs.

I am 78 years old and had studied German for 2 years 60 years ago and never resumed it. About 3 years ago I decided to start again and discovered 2 things: 1. All I knew returned immediately 2. I had great difficulty learning anything new! I guess my hard disk was full. Since then, with FlashCards my reading has improved tremendously. Thank you!

I came across the flashcard method, and found your website! It has gotten me to a survival level in a couple days. Of course, I'm using it every day for at least 5 hours a day, so you can imagine how long I sit on here. Thanks for all the work everyone does!

I have definitely learned a lot from the various sites you have made and the wonderful vocabulary lists. I am a big believer in vocabulary/sentence learning, and I think your site is set up in a very functional and interesting way.

This website is so great specially for beginners just like me. For me this is the easiest to learn language. E.g. I can get information about a word in a sentence what I've never heard before but also if I've learned a new word i would like to practice in correct sentences. Thank you!

I love the e-mails I get each day. They are exactly the right level for me, and the right amount of information - not embellished or encumbered by loads of add ons or 'look over here as well or instead' type things to overwhelm and distract one from simply learning a few more words. I love the simple layout too.

Hej, I just want to thank you for the Swedish Flashcards I have been receiving for the past year. They are well done and keep me thinking about a little more Swedish everyday. I am off to Skane next week, which is why I took out the subscription. I am not sure if I will continue with my Swedish studies later in the year but if so I will renew with you again. I finally have found some time to commit to learning Thai and have been using your FLASHCARDS site regularly over the past month or so. It's absolutely brilliant; stellar sound clips and useful day to day conversational content.

I think it is brilliant ! I am at a very early stage of trying to learn Korean whilst actually in Korea and with decreasing amounts of spare time as my day job (where I get to speak almost exclusively English): gets busier by the day. One of the problems I found with Korean is that many words can have many very different meanings. So, the way you present a sentence, split into its individual words and then have details for each word, pronunciation etc. is superb. All I now need is a bit more time... When that comes about I will look into an upgrade, also in order to support your efforts. You have certainly earned it.

I just wanted to say how impressed and satisfied I am with your learning website and to thank you for your constantly implementing innovative site improvements. For example, and only to name a few of the many great changes you have put into place, the recent additions of the % of Daily Exercise Done and the new Mixed Exercise option keeps me motivated to learn and keeps my practicing experience fresh and interesting. I've been a member for the last couple years in which time my Thai has improved substantially. I've been using your site to learn Italian for about six months now. Not only is it a great vocabulary builder - it is also doing wonders for my accent. I really appreciate the chance to learn sentences and see grammar working in context. If you only do it from a book it can seem very dry and theoretical. I even found myself shouting at my coffee machine in Italian the other day so it's obviously sticking! Great website, keep up the good work.

I love their offerings. There is much wit and variety here. I have to explore all the features, which is going to take quite a while. So far I have found their approach extremely helpful. It has flashcard practice, which I love, fused with modern technology, which I often don't love—at least not the way many companies use it. I am in general a fan of paper flashcards and often of calm, one-medium-at-a-time learning, but this site impressed me with its judicious deployment of technological capabilities.
