Hide meaning on all sentences by adyble 25. Jan 2012
Hi
is there a setling to hide meaning on all sentences ? It's ok the main one but when going into the detail, I'm having to cover up the screen with a piece of paper to try and work out or remember the meaning without seeing the answer right under it.
Otherwise, really helpful.
Thanks

To some degree you can hide sentences in the main settings of the site. |

Where do you want to hide them exactly? |

On some items, there is "Move here for meaning" option but most there is not. Just someting the same as that would be perfect.
Thanks

Here's an example :

there's no easy way to test wherther I;ve learnt the words or not without either covering up the screen or pasting into word without the answers. |

This link is just for adding words not testing. |

I must say you are being very dismissive, which is a shame because it's a pretty site. |

I just stated what the purpose of that page was. I don't see how that was "very dismissive". Other user feedback about hiding the English as suggested in this thread would be appreciated. |

Returning to this old thread, it would be really handy on the page like :
http://www.french-flashcards.com/show-words.php?topic=11
so hide either the English or French meanings. I normally associate flash cards having the question on one side and the answer on the other. I only recently noticed the Topics section, and thought great I can pick a topic and test myself because I'm lacking in vocab but it's really hard as you have to hold something in front of the screen.
There's so much detail on the site, it would make it almost perfect.

Hi Andy,
I recommend to "grab" this topic into a list and then test the words with the various exercises we offer. |

I use "practice words" or "practice sentences" REVERSE. I can test myself all day long! |
