Making a list by malaili2 20. Mar 2014
Is there an easy/quick way to make a list of all the words from the HSK 4 List?
I notice that the words from the "Official" lists, can be grabbed.
Will I have to cut and paste the HSK 4 words into the text analyzer? |

Why you want to grab the whole hsk list though? |

If I grab the whole list, I will only have to do it once, then I can put words into the loop gradually and study them there.
Having to go back and forth time and time again seems like a lot of work, and then I have to remember which word I last added from the list.
I surprised you asked, is there reason to not add them all at one time? |

You can add an automatic list which automatically adds HSK4 words to your loop. So adding all HSK4 words in one go would be a waste of database space.
At http://www.chinese-course.com/add-list-word.php
under "How to add new words" choose "Automatically (HSK Words Level 4)". Or edit the list accordingly. |

Thank you.
Firstly, I don't want to waste database space, just wanted to have a list of all the words in HSK 4, that I could easily mark/move to the loop in small batches of 5-7 words at a time.
I thought making the list "HSK 4" once would be more efficient, than cutting words from the HSK 4 list, and then pasting them in the loop time and time again.
I definitely do not want all 582 words in my loop initially, that wouldn't do at all. |

Not sure what exactly you mean by cut and paste. But once you move a flashcard from the loop by clicking a time button below the loop button another HSK4 word will be added automatically to your list. (provided the queue is empty) |

I don't want any words added until, I am ready for more new words.
Is there a way for me to control when a new is added.
I want to study words until maybe I have gotten it to a 5-7 day review time, then add a new word. Is this possible?
If I understand you correctly, once I begin to review the words in the loop, and select a time, say 5 minutes, another new word will be added to the loop, is that correct? |

Yes once you remove a word from the loop by clicking on 5 minutes, etc, a new word will be chosen and put into the loop. This new word will be from the queue, or if the queue is empty it will be a new word as specified by you (e.g. HSK level 4). If you chose manual you'll have to pick one manually. |

Thank you, I think I understand.
Please forgive my confusion, I'm a little anal retentive from time to time.
I am starting to get the hang of it; you offer so much in terms of flexibility, I find it a little daunting.
Thank you again for your patience. |
