In the sentence 我要到哪裡申請簽證, it is translated as "where can I apply for a visa." Can someone explain 要到? Could 可能 be a possible replacement for 要到? 謝謝. | anning 19. Dec 2010
The above should be read as 我要 (I want) 到哪里 (to where?), meaning "Where should I go .....?" 要到 is not the appropriate phrase in this case. We may say 我要到了 to mean "I'm about to arrive" as an alternative to 我就到了. 可能 may not replace 要到 in the sentence above. | Chinese6823 21. Dec 2010
