Hi, Crystal. I'm also learning the Korean language so I can be semi-fluent before I visit South Korea next year. My best advice is to first learn Hangul, the Korean alphabet. Learning Hangul will help with pronunciation and recognizing words. This is a series of videos that teaches Hangul in a fun way:

Another tip is to take several minutes each day to review and practice
Korean to improve your retention. My favorite way of doing this is by listening to audio or watching dramas to pick up on phrases and words that I learned and repeating them aloud. Also using the appropriate words/phrases for everyday situations (such as a greeting a friend)helps.

Also try to focus on small bits at time so you won't overload yourself with information. Talk to Me in Korean, is a great website that offers free lessons with audio and pdf files for each lesson.

I hope this helps you out!

Hey I'm 16 too, and surfing the Hallyu wave aswell XD
i think the best 2 methods are just reading/re-reading the words and phrases on the site, and watching dramas/listening to music.
...basically what virgobunny just said...
