An idea for hanzi teaching by PodBoi 25. Jul 2006
Why don't you create a story for every hanzi, teaching in that story the origin and meaning of the described hanzi...it'd be easier to learn hanzi that way :) |

a story for every character? thats a lot of work for a website that makes no money :) |
PodBoi 25. Jul 2006
Yeah I know...but at least it'd be great because people would learn in a faster way :) |

I'd take 5-15 minutes for a crappy story ..

Even if he makes 1 a day he won't be finished before 3 years ...
So yeah I'd be cool .. but I don't think it's possible either lol. |

Kodomin1 ... Hanzi doesn't translate into just one thing. But the simplest correct way to put it is the way admin put it. The Han are the Chinese. Zi means character. Therefore Hanzi is the Characters of the Han people. Chinese character = same thing.
Study your Chinese history and you'll understand lol. |
