I don't know it my just be me, but I would like the exact translation instead of what it might be translated to(interpretation) if I were not Italian. Let me give an example.
Dalle olive si ottiene il migliore olio.
The best oil is extracted from olives.
Although both sentences mean the same thing it is not a direct translation, thus this way teach us that if we want to say something we need to rethink the whole grammar thingy. The translation should be;
From Olives you obtain the best oil.
A lot of sites do it this way, but I did find one that gives a direct translation. This helps me think like an italian and use the correct words. There are even words that are interpretations instead of direct translations. |
