What novellas or short stories, or just authors, would you recommend to help learn new vocabulary at an intermediate level ?
I have been able to read some Wedekind plays and some Arthur Schnitzler novellas in the past, and I started reading Stefan Zweig, but I still have to look up a lot of words and it makes reading very slow. So I'd be looking for something from which I can still learn new words by looking them up but where I can read the story more easily without needing to look up every 5th word (more like 3-5 a page would be ideal).
Also, would anyone know of "German Word Of The Day" widgets to use on the desktop (as opposed to the kind to be embedded in webpages) ?
