Anyone know of a similar site to this one? by konigstiger87 6. Sept 2010
All I need is to listen to verbs and adjectives I don't normally hear, but this website requires a subscription fee. I'm a student, so I am beyond broke, which is why I ask if anyone knows of a similar site, but without the payments. | rsaunch 1. Oct 2010

For grammar for English speakers, try the book, Essential German Grammar, by Guy Stern, only $6 on Amazon.com. There's also a great free online course, Essential German, by Eugene Moutoux. Both are easy and thorough. Stern's is very good and concise. Moutoux's has lots of basic vocabulary.
For audio and definitions, dict.cc is good.
I love this german-flashcard.com site for practice. Compared to a real tutor, this site is a bargain. It's just about the only quality thing out there for the intermediate level.
For interesting reading practice, I like German comic books, the Bible, and children's books and fairy tales. | Forum Index |
