The concert
Eric: ¡Hola, Albert! ¿Cómo estás?
Eric: Hi Albert. How are you?
Albert: Genial. Acabo de estar en un concierto con mi mujer.
Albert: Great. I've just been to a concert with my wife.
Eric: ¿De quién era el concierto?
Eric: Whose concert?
Albert: Laura Cantrell. Una cantante de country.
Albert: Laura Cantrell. A country singer.
Eric: ¿Country? ¿Pensaba que te gustaba el heavy metal?
Eric: Country? I thought you like heavy metal?
Albert: Oh, últimamente ya no voy a conciertos de heavy metal. Son demasiado ruidosos. Mis oídos ya no pueden aguantarlo.
Albert: Oh, these days I don't go to heavy metal concerts anymore. They are so insanely loud. My ears can't take that anymore.
Eric: Jaja, sí, tienes razón. Una vez estuve en un concierto de W.A.S.P. y dos días después los oídos todavía me seguían zumbando.
Eric: Haha, yes you are right. I was to a W.A.S.P. concert once and two days later my ears were still ringing.
Albert: Exacto. Tengo el mismo problema con las discotecas. Todavía tengo acúfenos por una visita de hace 15 años.
Albert: Exactly. I have the same problem with nightclubs. I still have tinnitus from a visit 15 years ago.
Eric: ¿Entonces los acúfenos pueden convertirse en permanentes?
Eric: So the tinnitus can become permanent?
Albert: Sí, especialmente si vas al médico demasiado tarde como yo. Normalmente, ¡deberías ir al médico si el zumbido de oídos no desaparece después de 3 días!
Albert: Yes, especially if you go to the doctor too late like me. Normally you should go to the doctor if the ear ringing doesn't disappear after 3 days!
