A Famous Stutterer

(Marido y mujer sentados a la mesa del desayuno)

(Husband and wife sit at the breakfast table.)
Mujer: ¿Qué estás leyendo, querido?

Wife: What are you reading darling?
Marido: Un artículo sobre tartamudeo.

Husband: An article about stuttering.
Mujer: ¿En serio? Tu primo también tartamudea un poco, ¿verdad?

Wife: Really? Your cousin stutters a bit too, right?
Marido: En realidad, no. Sólo es un poco tímido. El artículo dice que se han identificado algunos genes que aumentan el riesgo de tartamudeo.

Husband: Not really. He is just a bit shy. The article says that some genes that increase the risk of stuttering have been identified.
Mujer: Me suena a información inútil.

Wife: Sounds like useless information to me.
Marido: ¿Sabías que Marilyn Monroe era tartamuda?

Husband: Did you know that Marilyn Monroe was a stutterer?
Mujer: ¿En serio? ¡Me encantan sus películas!

Wife: Really? I love her films!
Marido: Sí, vamos a la videoteca y cogemos una de sus películas.

Husband: Yes, let's go to the video library and get one of her movies.
