More snow
O ano havia sido desastroso para os fazendeiros.
It was a disastrous year for the farmers.
A neve caiu e caiu até que o governo teve que interferir e ajudar.
The snow fell and fell until the government had to step in and help.
"Deve ter sido horrível", disse o representante do governo a um fazendeiro. "Tanta neve".
"It must have been terrible," said the government official to a farmer. "All that snow."
"Poderia ter sido pior. O meu vizinho teve mais neve do que eu", disse o fazendeiro calmamente.
"Could have been worse. My neighbor had more snow than I," answered the farmer calmly.
"Como isso é possível?", perguntou o representante do governo.
"How come?" asked the government official.
"Ele tem mais terras", respondeu o fazendeiro.
"More land," replied the farmer.
