The important telephone call
Claudia: Olá, Frank. Você tem viajado ultimamente?
Claudia: Hey Frank. Have you been travelling recently?
Frank: Sim, estive na Inglaterra.
Frank: Yes, I've been to England.
Claudia: Você esteve em Londres?
Claudia: Have you been to London?
Frank: Sim. Estive também em Canterbury.
Frank: Yes. I've also been to Canterbury.
Claudia: É onde fica aquela catedral famosa, certo?
Claudia: That's where that famous cathedral is, right?
Frank: Sim, ela é muito grande.
Frank: Yes, it is very big.
Claudia: Um dia também visitarei Canterbury!
Claudia: One day I will visit Canterbury too!
Frank: Ótimo, mas não seja enganado como eu fui. Um cara me pediu dinheiro para fazer um "telefonema importante". Quando dei o dinheiro, ele foi a uma loja e comprou bebida alcoólica com o dinheiro. E bem na minha frente!
Frank: Great, but don't get scammed like I was. A guy asked me for money for an "important telephone call". When I gave him the money he went to a shop and bought alcohol with the money. Right in front of my eyes!
Claudia: Haha.. ele nem se incomodou em esconder a mentira.
Claudia: Haha.. he didn't even bother to cover up his lies.
Frank: Obviamente não!
Frank: Obviously not!
