Move to Bermuda
Robert: Oi Wilma! Tudo bem? Ouvi dizer que você vai mudar para Bermudas?
Robert: Hi Wilma! How are you? I heard you are moving to Bermuda?
Wilma: Oi Robert. Sim, é verdade.
Wilma: Hi Robert. Yes, it is true.
Robert: Mas você acaba de se mudar para Londres!
Robert: But you just moved to London!
Wilma: Eu sei!
Wilma: Yes I know!
Robert: Então por que Bermudas?
Robert: So why Bermuda?
Wilma: Temos que mudar para lá por causa da empresa do meu marido.
Wilma: We have to go there because of my husband's company.
Robert: Entendo. O seu marido ainda trabalha em uma empresa de seguros?
Robert: I see. Your husband still works in that insurance company?
Wilam: Sim.
Wilma: Yes.
Robert: Você já esteve em Bermudas?
Robert: Have you been to the Bermuda before?
Wilma: Sim. Lá é muito bonito.
Wilma: Yes. It is very beautiful there.
Robert: Imagino, mas uma ilha tão pequena vai ficar chata depois de um tempo.
Robert: I can imagine. But such a small island probably gets boring after a while.
Wilma: Talvez sim, mas não acho que podemos morar lá por mais de 2 ou 3 anos mesmo.
Wilma: Maybe yes. But I don't think we are allowed to stay more than 2 or 3 years anyway.
Robert: Bermuda é um paraíso fiscal, não é? Acho que a empresa do seu marido quer economizar nos impostos.
Robert: Bermuda is a tax haven right? I guess your husband's company wants to save taxes.
Wilma: Parece que sim.
Wilma: It seems so yes.
Robert: Nenhuma das grandes empresas querem pagar impostos aqui. Não é surpresa que o país esteja tão endividado.
Robert: None of the big companies want to pay taxes here. No wonder our country is so indebted!
Wilma: Infelizmente você tem razão! Eu tenho que ir agora. Consulta no dentista!
Wilma: Yes, unfortunately! I have to go now. Dentist appointment!
Robet: Está bem, tchau! Mande um oi para o seu marido!
Robert: Okay bye! Say hello to your husband!
Wilma: Mando sim! Tchau!
Wilma: I will! Bye!
