The new class
Certo dia um professor estava cumprimentando a sua nova turma de alunos.
One day a teacher was greeting his new class.
Ele ficou em pé diante da turma e perguntou se alguém naquela turma era idiota, e se fosse, esse aluno deveria se levantar.
He stood up in front of the class and asked if anyone in the class was an idiot, and if they were, they should stand.
Um minuto depois um jovem se levantou.
After a minute a young man stood up.
O professor então perguntou se o garoto realmente achava que era um idiota.
The professor then asked the kid if he actually thought he was an idiot.
O garoto respondeu: "Não, eu só não queria vê-lo aí em pé sozinho".
The kid replied: "No, I just didn't want to see you standing there all by yourself."
