Três senhoras idosas estão em um restaurante discutindo a saúde delas.

Uma senhora diz: "Sabe, estou ficando muito esquecida. Esta manhã estava no alto da escada, e não conseguia lembrar se tinha acabado de subir ou se ia descer."
One lady says, "You know, I'm getting very forgetful. This morning, I was standing at the top of the stairs, and I couldn't remember whether I had just come up or was about to go down."
A segunda senhora diz: "Você acha isso ruim? No outro dia estava sentada na beirada da cama, e não conseguia lembrar se ia dormir ou se tinha acabado de acordar!"
The second lady says, "You think that's bad? The other day, I was sitting on the edge of my bed, and I couldn't remember whether I was going to sleep or had just woken up!"
A terceira senhora sorriu presunçosamente.
The third lady smiles smugly.
"Bem, a minha memória é tão boa como sempre foi, bate na madeira", ela diz batendo na mesa.
"Well, my memory is just as good as it's always been, knock on wood," she says as she raps on the table.
Então com um olhar assustado ela pergunta "Quem está aí?"
Then with a startled look on her face, she asks, "Who's there?"
