The Plumber
和哉： やあ、雄介！ 調子はどうだい？
Kazuya: Hey Yusuke! How's it going?
雄介： ああ、まあまあだよ。この前、配管工に大金を払わなきゃいけなかったんだ！
Yusuke: Oh, so-so. Just had to pay the plumber a fortune!
和哉： 本当？ ああ、あれは高くつくことがあるよね。
Kazuya: Really? Yes they can be expensive.
雄介： 自分で配管工になったほうがよさそうだよ。そうすれば、お金もたくさん稼げるし、大学に行かなくていいし。
Yusuke: I should become a plumber. Then I would earn a lot of money and no need to go to university.
和哉： 僕の叔父さんが配管工で、大変な仕事だって言ってたよ。
Kazuya: My uncle was a plumber and he said it's tough work.
雄介： そうなの？
Yusuke: Is it?
和哉： うん、腰や膝を痛めることはしょっちゅうらしいよ。
Kazuya: Yes, back pain and knee problems are very common.
雄介： なるほどね。それで引退されたのかい？
Yusuke: I see. Is that why he retired?
和哉： うん、それが理由だったんだ。辞めた時、まだ60歳にもなってなかったよ。
Kazuya: Yes, for that reason. He wasn't even 60 when he retired.
