Hideki: Hi Mayumi! Did you see the news, there was a huge earthquake in Japan.

真由美：　本当？ 今日はまだラジオもテレビもつけてないのよ。

Mayumi: Really? Haven't switched on the radio or TV today.

英樹： 日本の記録史上最大の地震らしいよ！　大津波も引き起こしたみたい。

Hideki: I heard that it was the biggest earthquake ever record in Japan! It also triggered a huge tsunami!

真由美： ええっ、なんてこと！　今、弟が日本にいるのよ。

Mayumi: Oh my god! My brother is in Japan at the moment.

英樹： 日本のどこ？

Hideki: Where in Japan?

真由美： 福岡よ。日本の南部にあるの。

Mayumi: He is in Fukuoka. That's in the South of Japan.

英樹： 地震は北部、仙台の近くだよ。

Hideki: The quake was in North, near Sendai.

---

真由美： ああ、弟が無事だといいんだけど・・・！　すぐに電話しなくっちゃ。じゃあね！

Mayumi: Oh I hope he is OK...! I need to call him right now! Bye!

英樹： 分かったよ、じゃあね！
