A smart dog
ある男性が友人を訪ねたところ、飼っている犬とチェスをしていたので驚きました。
A man went to visit a friend and was amazed to find him playing chess with his dog.
男性はしばらくの間、びっくりして試合を眺めていました。
He watched the game in astonishment for a while.
「我が目を疑うよ！」、と彼は叫びました。「この犬は、僕が今まで見た中で一番賢い犬だ」
"I can hardly believe my eyes!" he exclaimed. "That's the smartest dog I've ever seen."
「いいや、そんなに賢くないんだよ」、と友人は答えました。「これまで5回のうち3回は僕が勝ったからね」
"Nah, he's not so smart," the friend replied. "I've beaten him three games out of five."
