Posting a letter


(卓也は両親への手紙を出すために郵便局へ入る)

(Takuya enters the post office to send a letter to his parents.)
卓也:こんにちは。この手紙をアメリカ宛てに送りたいのですが。いくらかかりますか?

Takuya: Hello. I would like to send this letter to the USA. How much does it cost?
郵便局員:どういう便で送られますか?

Post Office Clerk: How would you like to send it?
卓也:航空便でお願いします。

Jack: By Airmail, please.
郵便局員:かしこまりました。手紙をその秤の上に載せてください。

Post Office Clerk: Certainly. Please put the letter on the scales.
(卓也は手紙を秤に載せる)

(Takuya puts the letter on the scales)
郵便局員:はい、では250円になります。

Post Office Clerk: OK, that'll be 250 yen, please.
(卓也は郵便局員に300円を渡す)

(Takuya gives the post office clerk 300 yen)
郵便局員:ありがとうございます。こちらがお釣りでございます。

Post Office Clerk: Thank you. Here's your change.
卓也:ありがとう。

Takuya: Thanks.
