"Mamma, mamma, posso andare sulla ruota grande?"
"Mummy, Mummy, can I go on the big wheel?"
"Oh non lo so, tesoro, sei un po' troppo piccolo per andarci. Non pensi che ti verrà paura quando sarai là in alto?"
"Oh I don't know, darling, you're a little too young for that. Don't you think you'll get scared when you're all the way up there?"
"Io non mi spavento mai, mamma."
"I never get scared, Mummy."
"Davvero? E che mi dici dell'altra notte, quando hai avuto un incubo? Hai detto che avevi paura e che volevi dormire nel mio letto."
"Really? What about the other night, when you had a nightmare? You said that you were scared, and that you wanted to sleep in my bed."
"Era diverso. C'erano dei mostri nel mio incubo. Dei mostri molto cattivi."
"That was different. There were monsters in my nightmare. Very bad monsters."
"Capisco. Beh, se vuoi proprio andare sulla ruota grande, allora mi devi promettere che farai il bravo per il resto della giornata."
"I see. Well, if you really want to go on the big wheel, then you have to promise to be a good boy for the rest of the day."
"Ok mamma, prometto."
"OK Mummy, I promise."
"Va bene, allora. Andiamo a comprare due biglietti. E non dimenticare la tua promessa."
"All right then. Let's go buy two tickets. And don't forget your promise."
"Non la dimenticherò, mamma. Ti voglio bene, mamma."
"I won't, Mummy. I love you, Mummy."
"Anch'io ti voglio bene, tesoro."
"I love you too, darling."
