Il marito di Francesca, in seguito a un incidente, era rimasto in coma per diverse settimane.
Francesca's husband, after an accident, had been in a coma for several weeks.
Le cose sembravano mettersi male, ma lei non si allontanava mai dal suo capezzale.
Things seemed to have got worse, but she never left his bedside.
Un giorno si svegliò e le fece cenno di avvicinarsi.
One day he woke up and motioned for her to come close to him.
"Sai" bisbigliò, con gli occhi che si riempivano di lacrime, "tu ci sei sempre stata, anche nei brutti momenti".
"You know" he whispered, his eyes filling with tears, "you have always been with me, even through the bad times."
"Quando sono stato licenziato, non mi hai abbandonato. Quando i miei affari sono andati male, tu c'eri."
"When I got fired, you didn't abandon me. When my business went under, there you were."
"Quando abbiamo perso la casa, tu c'eri. Quando la mia salute ha cominciato a peggiorare, tu eri sempre al mio fianco."
"When we lost the house, you were there. When my health started failing, you were still by my side."
"E sai cosa?"
"And you know what?"
"Cosa, mio caro?" chiese lei.
"What, my dear?" she asked.
"Penso che mi porti sfortuna."
"I think you bring me bad luck."
