The scam

Rick: Ciao Bill, come va?

Rick: Hi Bill, how is it going?
Bill: Non troppo bene.

Bill: Oh, not so good.
Rick: Cos'è successo?

Rick: What happened?

Bill: Oh, I've come back from holiday a few days ago and now I've realized that I've been scammed.
Rick: Mi dispiace. Com'è successo?

Rick: Oh sorry to hear that. How did that happen?

Bill: Well, in a small hotel they made a photocopy of my driver's license. Afterwards they asked me for my social security number. I was tired and stupid enough to give it to them.
Rick: Oh, no, un furto di identità?

Rick: Oh no, an identity theft?

Bill: Yeah... well, I've learned my lesson now. I've also cancelled all the credit cards I don't use.
Rick: Mi sembra una buona idea!

Rick: That's probably a good idea!
