Kenneth: Ecco il tuo regalo, Jake.
Kenneth: Here is your gift Jake.
Jake: Grazie, papà!
Jake: Thanks dad!
(Jake apre il regalo.)
(Jake opens his gift.)
Jake: Oh, dei CD! Che bello!
Jake: Oh, CDs! Great.
(Jake guarda i CD e sembra un po' perplesso.)
(Jake looks at the CDs confused.)
Jake: Chi è Marvin Gaye? Non ho mai sentito parlare neanche di Janis Joplin!
Jake: Who is Marvin Gaye? Never heard of Janis Joplin either!
Kenneth: Volevo che ascoltassi della vera musica!
Kenneth: I wanted you to listen to real music!
Jake: Oh, ma non li ho mai sentiti. Chi sono "The Doors"? Che nome strano!
Jake: Oh, but I never heard of these singers. Who are "The Doors"? What a strange name!
Kenneth: Poveri noi. La gioventù di oggi non sa proprio cosa sia la buona musica.
Kenneth: Oh dear. Today's youth has no idea of good music!

(One week later..)
Jake: Papà, i tuoi CD sono fantastici!
Jake: Dad, your CDs are great!
Kenneth: Sapevo che ti sarebbero piaciuti!
Kenneth: I knew you would like them!
Jake: Sì, mi piace Janis Joplin! Possiamo andare a un suo concerto?
Jake: Yes. I like Janis Joplin! Can we go to her concert?
Kenneth: Oh, temo che non sia più viva.
Kenneth: Oh, I'm afraid she isn't alive anymore.
Jake: Peccato. Allora andiamo a un concerto di Marvin Gaye.
Jake: Oh, pity. Then let's go to a Marvin Gaye concert.
Kenneth: È morto anche lui.
Kenneth: He's dead too.
Jake: E "The Doors"?
Jake: What about "The Doors"?
Kenneth: È morto anche il cantante di quel gruppo. Adesso mi sento proprio vecchio. Forse e' meglio che tu torni ad ascoltare Justin Bieber.
Kenneth: The band's singer died too. Now I feel really old. Maybe go and listen to Justin Bieber again.
Jake: Forse è meglio. Ah Ah!
Jake: Maybe yes. Haha!
