Peter: Hello Nina! How are you?

Nina: Ciao, Peter! Bene, grazie. E tu? Non ti ho visto ultimamente. Va tutto bene?

Nina: Hello Peter! I'm okay, thank you! What about you? Haven't seen you lately. Is everything all right?

Peter: Sì, adesso va tutto bene, ma sono stato operato il mese scorso e sono dovuto rimanere a casa per un paio di settimane.

Peter: Well, it is all right now, but I had surgery last month and had to stay home for a couple of weeks after that.

Nina: Oh, cosa è successo?

Nina: Oh, what happened?

Peter: Ho avuto l'appendicite.

Peter: I had appendicitis.

Nina: Hai sofferto?

Nina: Were you in pain?

Peter: Sì, non ho mai provato un dolore tanto intenso in tutta la mia vita.

Peter: Yes, I've never had such intense pain in my life.

Nina: Pensavo che l'appendicite capitasse ai giovani.

Nina: I thought appendicitis happens to younger people.

---

Peter: Hai ragione, non capita spesso alla mia età.

Peter: You are right, it does not happen often at my age.
