Jack: Ciao Melanie, ciao Hugh! Tornati dalla Tailandia?
Jack: Hi Melanie and Hugh! Back from Thailand?
Melanie: Tailandia? Oh no, siamo stati a Taiwan stavolta.
Melanie: Thailand? Oh no, we've been to Taiwan this time.
Jack: Capisco. Com'è stato?
Jack: I see. How was it?
Hugh: È stato bello. Abbiamo visitato un paio di templi e i mercati notturni.
Hugh: It was nice. We went to a couple of temples and night markets.
Jack: Sembra interessante.
Jack: Sounds nice.
Melanie: Sì, ma quello che non mi è piaciuto di Taiwan è stato il traffico assurdo e i cani randagi per strada.
Melanie: Yes, but what I didn't like about Taiwan was the insane traffic and the stray dogs on the street.
Jack: Davvero? Ho visto un cane randagio in Spagna una volta. Mi ha seguito per un po'.
Jack: Really? I saw a stray dog in Spain once. He was following me around for a while.
Melanie: Sembra che siano davvero un problema in alcuni paesi!
Melanie: They seem to be a real problem in some countries!
Hugh: Ho letto che il sindaco di una città rumena dava i cani randagi in pasto ai leoni dello zoo!
Hugh: I read once that a mayor of some Eastern European town fed the stray dogs to the lions in the zoo!
Jack: Oh mio dio! È davvero crudele!
Jack: Oh my god! That's really brutal!
