The expensive psychiatrist
Un uomo andò da uno psichiatra e gli disse: "Ho un problema. Ogni volta che mi infilo a letto penso che ci sia qualcuno sotto. Sto impazzendo!"
A man went to a psychiatrist and said: "I've got a problem. Every time I get into bed I think there is somebody under it. I'm going crazy!"
"Io posso aiutarla", disse lo psichiatra. "Venga da me due volte alla settimana."
"I can help you," said the psychiatrist. "Come to me two times a week."
"Qual è la sua tariffa?"
"How much do you charge?"
"Cento dollari a sessione."
"A hundred dollars per session."
"Ok, mi ci faccia pensare."
"Okay let me think about it."
L'uomo non tornò più. Qualche mese dopo incontrò il dottore per strada.
The man never went back. A few months later he met the doctor on the street.
"Perché non è più tornato da me?", chiese lo psichiatra.
"Why didn't you ever come to see me again?", asked the psychiatrist.
"Per cento dollari a sessione? Un mio amico mi ha guarito gratis!"
"For one hundred dollars a session? My friend cured me for free!"
"Come?"
"How?"
"Mi ha detto di tagliare le gambe del letto!"
"He told me to cut the legs off the bed!"
