In Italian the days of the week are usually listed starting from Monday. Like this:

Domenica (Sunday)
NOTE that they're not capitalised unless they are placed at the beginning of a sentence (as
above).
Examples:
"Ci vediamo sabato"
(See you on Saturday)
"Sabato 25 gennaio mi sono sposato"
(On Saturday, January 25th, I got married).
"Quando l'hai visto per l'ultima volta?" "Era un lunedì"
(When did you see him last? It was a Monday)
"Oggi è mercoledì."
(Today is Wednesday)
