"Anscheinend haben sich Lucy und Jack offiziell getrennt."

"Apparently Lucy and Jack have officially split up."
"Was!? Ich dachte Jack hat ihr einen Antrag gemacht."

"What!? I thought Jack proposed to her."
"Ja, aber Jacks Eltern sind dagegen."

"Yes, but Jack's parents are against it."
"Warum denn?"

"How come?"
"Wahrscheinlich mögen sie sie nicht."

"I guess they don't like her."
"Schade! Sind sie nicht erst vor einem Monat zusammengezogen?"

"Pity! Didn't they move in together just 1 month ago?"
"Ja und sie haben einen sechsmonatigen Mietvertrag unterschrieben."

"Yes and they've signed a lease for 6 months."
"Tja, dann müssen sie wohl noch 5 Monate zusammenleben!"

"Oh, well I guess they have to live together for another 5 months then!"
"Ja, das wird eine unangenehme Zeit!"

"Yes, that's going to be an awkward time!"
