"Apparemment, Lucy et Jack se sont officiellement séparés."

"Apparently Lucy and Jack have officially split up."
"Quoi ?! Je croyais que Jack l'avait demandée en mariage."

"What!? I thought Jack proposed to her."
"Oui, mais les parents de Jack s'y opposent."

"Yes, but Jack's parents are against it."
"Pourquoi ?"

"How come?"
"Je suppose qu'ils ne l'aiment pas."

"I guess they don't like her."
"Quel dommage ! Ils n'avaient pas emménagé ensemble il y a à peine un mois ?"

"Pity! Didn't they move in together just 1 month ago?"
"Si, et ils avaient signé un bail pour 6 mois."

"Yes and they've signed a lease for 6 months."
"Oh, alors je suppose qu'ils doivent vivre encore 5 mois ensemble !"

"Oh, well I guess they have to live together for another 5 months then!"
"Oui, ça va être gênant !"

"Yes, that's going to be awkward !"
