The Plumber
Walter : Hé, Bill ! Comment ça va ?
Walter: Hey, Bill! How's it going?
Bill : Oh, comme ci, comme ça. J'ai payé une fortune au plombier !
Bill: Oh, so-so. I've paid the plumber a fortune!
Walter : Ah bon ? Oui, ça peut être cher.
Walter: Really? Yes, it can be expensive.
Bill : Je devrais devenir plombier. Je gagnerais beaucoup d'argent et pas besoin d'aller à l'université.
Bill: I should become a plumber. I would earn a lot of money and no need to go to university.
Walter : Mon oncle était plombier et il disait que c'était un travail difficile.
Walter: My uncle was a plumber and he said it's tough work.
Bill : Ah bon ?
Bill: Is it?
Walter : Oui, le mal de dos et les problèmes de genou sont très courants.
Walter: Yes, back pain and knee problems are very common.
Bill : Je vois. Est-ce pour cette raison qu'il a pris sa retraite ?
Bill: I see. Is that for that reason that he retired?
Walter : Oui. Il n'avait même pas 60 ans quand il a pris sa retraite.
Walter: Yes, it is. He wasn't even 60 when he retired.
