La aleatoriedad de la vida

Jack drives to his dad's nursing home.

Jack: Hi Dad! How are you?

Jack: "¡Hola papá! ¿Cómo estás?"
Jack's father: Not so good. Whatever you do in the future, don't get old!

Jack: I'll keep that in mind. Anyway let's go!

Jack: "Lo tendré en cuenta. De todos modos, ¡vámonos!"
Jack and his father get in the car and start driving.

Jack: It's been twenty years since Mom ...

Jack's father: I know, I can't believe it.

Jack: On that day before she got in the car I stopped her to tell her how much I love her.

Jack's father: Really? You never told me this.

Padre de Jack: "¿De verdad? Nunca me lo dijiste."
Jack: I keep thinking if I hadn't done that, she would have left a bit earlier and maybe ...

Jack's father: There's no point dwelling on that. I'm glad you told your mom you love her.

Jack: This sometimes amazes me. How random life is and how small details can completely change your life.

They drive in silence until they arrive. Jack parks the car and they get out.

Conducen en silencio hasta llegar. Jack aparca el coche y salen.
Jack: Oh, sunshine! How nice!

Jack: "¡Brilla el sol, qué bonito!"
Jack's father: Yes, it's nice.

Padre de Jack: "Sí, es bonito."
Jack: I bought some flowers for Mom.

Jack: "Le compré flores a mamá."
Jack's father: Good, but the deer will eat them.

They walk for a while.

Caminan un poco.
Jack: Here we are.

Jack: "Hemos llegado."
They stand in silence. Finally Jack put the flowers on his mother's grave.
