One day a teacher was greeting his new class.
Eines Tages grüßte ein Lehrer seine neue Klasse.
He stood up in front of the class and asked if anyone in the class was an idiot, and if they were, they should stand.
Er stand vor der Klasse und fragte ob jemand in der Klasse ein Idiot wäre, und wenn ja, dann sollten sie aufstehen.
After a minute a young man stood up.
Nach einer Minute stand ein junger Mann auf.
The teacher then asked the student if he actually thought he was an idiot.
Der Lehrer fragte dann den Schüler, ob er wirklich glaube ob er ein Idiot sei.
The student replied: "No, I just didn't want to see you standing there all by yourself"
Der Schüler antwortete: "Nein, ich wollte nur nicht, dass sie da ganz alleine stehen."
