Waitress: Good day!

John: Vi vil gerne have et bord til to.

John: A table for 2 please.

John og Susan følger efter tjeneren og sætter sig ned ved deres bord.

John and Susan follow the waitress and then sit down at their table.

John: Jeg tror, jeg tager Pad Thai. Hvad vil du have?

John: I think I'll take Pad Thai, and what will you order?

Susan: Jeg vil gerne have grøn karry.

Susan: I'll take Green curry.

---

John: Du bestiller altid det samme!

John: You always order the same!

---

Susan: Det er det eneste, jeg kan lide!

Susan: It's the only thing I like!

John: Undskyld, kan vi bestille?

John: Excuse me, could we order please?

Tjener: Lige et øjeblik!

Waitress: One moment, please!

Tjeneren kommer hen til bordet.

The waitress approaches the table.

Tjener: Ja, hvad skulle det være?

Waitress: Yes please?

John: Jeg vil gerne have en Pad Thai og til min kone vil jeg gerne have noget grøn karry. Er Pad Thai'en stærk?

John: I'll have a Pad Thai and for my wife some Green curry. Is the Pad Thai spicy?

Tjener: Nej, overhovedet ikke. Vil du have ris til karryretten?

Waitress: No, not at all. Would you like rice with the curry?

Susan: Ja tak!

Susan: Yes, please!

Tjener: Godt. Ellers andet?

Waitress: Okay. Anything else?

---

Susan: Ja, kan vi få en kande postevand?

Susan: Yes, please bring us a jug of tap water.

Tjener: Ja, selvfølgelig!
