The split-up

"Lucy og Jack er åbenbart officielt gået fra hinanden."

"Apparently Lucy and Jack have officially split up."
"Hvad? Jeg troede, Jack havde friet til hende?"

"What? I thought Jack proposed to her."
"Ja, men Jacks forældre er imod det."

"Yes, but Jack's parents are against it."
"Hvorfor?"

"How come?"
"De kan vel ikke lide hende."

"I guess they don't like her."
"Hvilken skam! Flyttede de ikke sammen for bare en måned siden?"

"Pity! Didn't they move in together just 1 month ago?"
"Jo, og de har underskrevet en lejekontrakt for seks måneder."

"Yes and they've signed a lease for 6 months."
"Nå, så er de vel nødt til at bo sammen fem måneder endnu!"

"Oh, well I guess they have to live together for another 5 months then!"
"Ja, det bliver en akavet tid!"

"Yes, that's going to be an awkward time!"
