ธานี: ก็ผมเข้าไปหาอพาร์ทเมนท์ในเว็บ Gumtree.com มีอพาร์ทเมนท์ราคาถูกมากอยู่ใจกลางเมืองเลย ผมเลยส่งอีเมล์หาผู้ชายคนนั้นถามว่าอพาร์ทเมนท์ยังว่างอยู่หรือเปล่า
Thanee: Well, I went to Gumtree.com to look for a flat. There was a really cheap flat in a very central location available. So I emailed the guy and asked if the flat is still available.
สมคิด: ผมว่าต้องเป็นกลโกงแน่เลย
Somkhit: I bet it was a scam.
ธานี: ใช่เลย เขาบอกผมว่าเขาอยู่ต่างประเทศ ต้องซื้อตั๋วเครื่องบินมาเปิดอพาร์ทเมนท์ให้ผมดู เขาบอกว่าเขาเสียเวลาไปกับคนที่บอกว่าจะเช่าคนก่อน ก็เลยต้องการเงินมัดจำล่วงหน้าก่อนที่จะบินมาหาผม
Thanee: Yes exactly. He told me that he lives abroad and needs to buy a plane ticket to show me the flat. He said he had wasted time with previous potential tenants and therefore needs a deposit up front before showing me the flat.
สมคิด: ใช่เลย! แล้วเขาก็ต้องการเงินมัดจำผ่านบริการ "Western Union" ด้วยใช่ไหม?
Somkhit: Yeah right! And he wanted that deposit through "Western Union" right?
ธานี: ใช่! ถ้าโอนเงินผ่าน "Western Union" ก็ไม่มีทางเอาเงินคืนได้ด้วยนะ
Thanee: Yep! There's no way to get the money back if you pay through "Western Union".
สมคิด: ผมสงสัยจริงว่าจะมีคนหลงเชื่อกลโกงนี้บ้างไหม
Somkhit: I wonder if people really fall for this scam.
