A visit to the doctor's
"สวัสดีครับ คุณธานี วันนี้เป็นยังไงบ้างครับ"
"Hello, Mr. Thanee. How are you today?"
"สวัสดีครับหมอปิยะ เช้านี้ผมตื่นมาเหงื่อท่วมตัว แล้วตัวก็สั่นด้วยครับ ผมยังรู้สึกเวียนหัว ปวดหัวตุบ ๆ แล้วก็มีไข้นิดหน่อย ผมว่าผมต้องเป็นไข้หวัดแน่เลย"
"Hello, Doctor Piya. When I woke up this morning, I was covered in sweat and my whole body was shaking. I felt nauseous, I had a pounding headache and I had a bit of a fever. I think I have the flu."
"อ๋อครับ ฟังดูคล้ายไข้หวัดนะครับ คุณช่วยถอดรองเท้ากับเสื้อ แล้วนอนบนเตียงได้ไหมครับ ผมจะได้ตรวจดู"
"I see. That does sound like the flu. Could you please take off your shoes and shirt, and lie on the examining table, so that I can examine you?"
"ได้ครับ"
"Of course."
"อื้อ เหมือนคอจะอักเสบนิดหน่อย มีไข้นิดหน่อยด้วยใช่ไหมครับ ลองหายใจเข้าแล้วหายใจออกสิครับ ดีครับ แต่งตัวได้แล้วครับ"
"Yes, your throat looks a little inflamed. And you do have a bit of a temperature. Breathe in and out for me, please. Good. You can get dressed now."
"ตกลงผมเป็นอะไรครับหมอ"
"So what's wrong with me, Doctor?"
"คุณคิดถูกครับคุณธานี คุณเป็นไข้หวัดชนิดไม่รุนแรง ผมจะเขียนใบสั่งยาต้านเชื้อไวรัสให้คุณ ต้องกินยาวันละ 3 ครั้ง เป็นเวลา 5 วันนะครับ แล้วผมก็อยากให้คุณอยู่บ้าน 3 วัน จะได้พักผ่อนเยอะ ๆ ต้องการใบรับรองแพทย์ด้วยไหมครับ"
"You were right, Mr. Thanee. You have a mild case of the common flu. I'm going to prescribe you an antiviral medication, which you must take three times a day for five days. I also want you to stay at home for three days and get plenty of rest. Will you need a medical certificate?"
"เอาครับ"
"Yes, I will."
"นี่ครับ มาหาหมออีกถ้าคุณไม่รู้สึกดีขึ้นใน 3 วันนะครับ"
"There you go. Come back to see me if you don't feel any better in three days."
"ขอบคุณครับคุณหมอ สวัสดีครับ" "สวัสดีครับ คุณธานี"
"Thank you, Doctor. Goodbye." "Goodbye, Mr. Thanee"
