A doctor's visit
ฤทธิ์: สวัสดีครับ ขอนัดหมอวันนี้ได้ไหมครับ?
Rit: Hello. Could I make an appointment with the doctor today?
พนักงานต้อนรับ: คุณชื่ออะไรคะ?
Receptionist: What is your name?
ฤทธิ์: ชื่อฤทธิ์ครับ
Rit: My name is Rit.
พนักงานต้อนรับ: คุณมีปัญหาสุขภาพอะไรคะ?
Receptionist: In regard to what health issue are you calling?
ฤทธิ์: ผมรู้สึกปวดเวลาปัสสาวะครับ
Rit: There is some pain when I pass water.
พนักงานต้อนรับ: มาหาคุณหมอตอน 17.35 น. นะคะ
Receptionist: OK, please come at 5.35pm.
(ฤทธิ์มาถึงคลินิกหมอ)
(Rit arrives at the doctor's office.)
ฤทธิ์: สวัสดีครับ ผมชื่อฤทธิ์ มีนัดตอน 17.35 น. ครับ
Rit: Hello, my name is Rit. I've an appointment at 5.35pm.
พนักงานต้อนรับ: ค่ะ รอคุณหมอสักครู่นะคะ
Receptionist: OK the doctor will be ready for you soon.
(ฤทธิ์รอ 10 นาที จึงได้พบหมอ)
(Rit waits 10 minutes and is called to the doctor's office.)
หมอ: เชิญนั่งครับ ให้ผมช่วยอะไรได้บ้าง?
Doctor: Please sit down. How can I help you?
ฤทธิ์: เมื่อ 3 วันที่แล้วผมมีไข้นิดหน่อยและรู้สึกปวดเวลาปัสสาวะครับ ผมคิดว่ารู้สึกดีขึ้นแล้วเมื่อวาน แต่กลับนอนไม่หลับเลยเพราะปวดแถวขาหนีบ
Rit: Three days ago I had a bit of fever and passing water was painful. I thought it would get better but yesterday I couldn't sleep because of the pain in my groin area.
หมอ: มีเลือดปนในปัสสาวะไหมครับ?
Doctor: Is there blood in the urine?
ฤทธิ์: ไม่มีครับ
Rit: No there isn't.
หมอ: ดูเหมือนว่าคุณจะมีอาการติดเชื้อในทางเดินปัสสาวะ ผมจะสั่งยาปฏิชีวนะชื่อ Trimethoprim ให้นะครับ กินวันละ 2 ครั้ง เป็นเวลา 1 สัปดาห์
Doctor: It seems you have an urinary tract infection. I'll prescribe you this antibiotic called Trimethoprim. Take it twice a day for one week.
ฤทธิ์: ครับ!
Rit: All right!
หมอ: ต้องไม่ลืมกินยาตลอด 1 สัปดาห์เต็มเลยนะครับ ถึงแม้คุณอาจจะรู้สึกดีขึ้นก่อนครบ 1 สัปดาห์ก็ตาม
Doctor: Make sure to keep taking it for a full week, even if you feel better before that.
ฤทธิ์: ขอบคุณครับหมอ สวัสดีครับ!
Rit: Thank you doctor. Bye!
หมอ: สวัสดีครับ
Doctor: Goodbye.
