A doctor's visit
Ricardo: Hej. Skulle jag kunna beställa en tid hos doktorn idag?
Ricardo: Hello. Could I make an appointment with the doctor today?
Receptionisten: Hur var namnet?
Receptionist: What is your name?
Ricardo: Jag heter Ricardo González.
Ricardo: My name is Ricardo González.
Receptionisten: Och på grund av vilket hälsoproblem ringer du?
Receptionist: In regard to what health issue are you calling?
Ricardo: Det gör lite ont när jag kastar vatten.
Ricardo: There is some pain when I pass water.
Receptionisten: Då är du välkommen 17.35.
Receptionist: OK, please come at 5.35pm.
(Ricardo anländer till läkarmottagningen.)
(Ricardo arrives at the doctor's office.)
Ricardo: Hej, jag heter Ricardo. Jag har en tid 17.35.
Ricardo: Hello, my name is Ricardo. I've an appointment at 5.35pm.
Receptionisten: Doktorn kommer snart att ta emot dig.
Receptionist: OK the doctor will be ready for you soon.
(Ricardo väntar i tio minuter och kallas sedan in till läkaren.)
(Ricardo waits 10 minutes and is called to the doctor's office.)
Doktorn: Varsågod och sitt. Vad kan jag göra för dig?
Doctor: Please sit down. How can I help you?
Ricardo: För tre dagar sedan hade jag lite feber, och det gjorde ont när jag kastade vatten. Jag trodde att det skulle bli bättre, men igår kunde jag inte sova på grund av smärtan i området kring ljumsken.
Ricardo: Three days ago I had a bit of fever and passing water was painful. I thought it would get better but yesterday I couldn't sleep because of the pain in my groin area.
Doktorn: Är det blod i urinen?
Doctor: Is there blood in the urine?
Ricardo: Nej, det är det inte.
Ricardo: No there isn't.
Doktorn: Det låter som om du har urinvägsinfektion. Jag ska skriva ut antibiotikan Trimethoprim till dig. Ta den två gånger om dagen i en vecka.
Doctor: It seems you have an urinary tract infection. I'll prescribe you this antibiotic called Trimethoprim. Take it twice a day for one week.
Ricardo: Det ska jag göra!
Ricardo: All right!
Doktorn: Se till att fortsätta ta tabletterna veckan ut, även om du känner dig bättre tidigare.
Doctor: Make sure to keep taking it for a full week, even if you feel better before that.
Ricardo: Tack, doktorn. Hej då!
Ricardo: Thank you doctor. Bye!
Doktorn: Hej då.
Doctor: Goodbye.
