Rainer: Hej Simon! Så du har kommit hem från Thailand. Hur har du haft det?

Rainer: Hi Simon! Back from Thailand? How was it?

Simon: Jo, det var trevligt. Äntligen fick jag träffa min frus föräldrar.

Simon: Oh, it was nice. Finally met my wife's parents.

Rainer: Så kul! De bor på landsbygden, eller hur?

Rainer: Brilliant! They live in the countryside, right?

---

Simon: Ja, i Isan, i nordöstra Thailand.

Simon: Yes, in Isan in the northeast of Thailand.

Rainer: Där finns det inte särskilt mycket att göra, antar jag?

Rainer: Not much to do there I suppose?

---

Simon: Det var intressant. Vi var ute och jagade grodor.

Simon: It was interesting. We went frog hunting.

Rainer: Jaså? Varför då?

Rainer: Really? What for?

---

Simon: De äter grodor. En del av de där grodorna var riktigt stora!

Simon: They eat the frogs. Some of these frogs were quite big!

Rainer: Åh, stackars grodor. Åt du dem, du också?

Rainer: Oh, the poor frogs. Did you eat them too?

---

Simon: Nej, jag kunde inte förmå mig själv att äta dem.

Simon: No, I couldn't bring myself to eat them.
