The earthquake


Jack: Hej Sally! Har du tittat på nyheterna? Det har varit en jättestor jordbävning i Japan.

Jack: Hi Sally! Did you see the news, there was a huge earthquake in Japan.
Sally: Jaså? Jag har inte haft vare sig radion eller TV:n på idag.

Sally: Really? Haven't switched on the radio or TV today.
Jack: Det var den största jordbävningen som någonsin uppmätts i Japan! Den utlöste en enorm tsunami!

Jack: It was the biggest earthquake ever record in Japan! It triggered a huge tsunami!
Sally: Herregud! Min bror är i Japan just nu.

Sally: Oh my god! My brother is in Japan at the moment.
Jack: Var någonstans är han?

Jack: Where is he?
Sally: Han är i Fukuoka. Det ligger i södra Japan.

Sally: He is in Fukuoka. That's in the South of Japan.
Jack: Jordbävningen var i den norra delen, nära Sendai.

Jack: The quake was in North, near Sendai.
Sally: Åh, jag hoppas han är okej! Jag måste ringa honom direkt. Hej då!

Sally: Oh I hope he is OK! I need to call him right now! Bye!
Jack: Okej, hej då!

Jack: OK bye!
