A visit to the doctor's
-Hej, Anton! Hur står det till med dig idag då?
"Hello, Anton! What brings you here today?"
-Hej hej. När jag vaknade imorse var jag alldeles svettig, och hela kroppen skakade. Jag kände mig illamående, hade en bankande huvudvärk och en aning feber. Jag tror jag har fått influensan.
"Hello. When I woke up this morning, I was covered in sweat and my whole body was shaking. I felt nauseous, I had a pounding headache and I had a bit of a fever. I think I have the flu."
-Jag förstår. Det låter som influensa. Kan du ta av dig skorna och tröjan och lägga dig på undersökningsbordet så ska jag titta närmare på dig.
"I see. That does sound like the flu. Could you please take off your shoes and shirt, and lie on the examining table, so that I can examine you?"
-Javisst.
"Of course."
-Jaha, din hals ser lite inflammerad ut. Och du är ganska varm. Andas in och ut är du snäll. Bra. Du kan klä på dig nu.
"Yes, your throat looks a little inflamed. And you do have a bit of a temperature. Breathe in and out for me, please. Good. You can get dressed now."
-Så vad är det för fel på mig?
"So what's wrong with me, Doctor?"
-Du hade rätt Anton. Du har en lätt släng av vanlig influensa. Jag skriver ut antivirusmedicin åt dig; den måste du ta tre gånger om dagen i fem dagar. Jag vill också att du stannar hemma under tre dagar och vilar mycket. Behöver du ett sjukintyg?
"You were right, Anton. You have a mild case of the common flu. I'm going to prescribe you an antiviral medication, which you must take three times a day for five days. I also want you to stay at home for three days and get plenty of rest. Will you need a medical certificate?"
-Ja, det behöver jag.
"Yes, I will."
-Varsågod. Kom tillbaka hit om du inte mår bättre om tre dagar.
"There you go. Come back to see me if you don't feel any better in three days."
-Tack ska du ha. Hej då! -Hej då Anton!
"Thank you, Doctor. Goodbye." "Goodbye, Anton!"
