Grammar Lesson 4:

En or Ett?

One way to know whether to use En or Ett is to look at the definite form. If it ends with -en you would "en":

en bok - boken
en bil - bilen
en dator - datorn

If the definite form ends with -et you would use "ett":

ett staket - staketet
ett hus - huset
