Kenneth: Jake, aquí tienes tu regalo.
Kenneth: Here is your gift Jake.
Jake: ¡Gracias, papá!
Jake: Thanks dad!
(Jake abre su regalo.)
(Jake opens his gift.)
Jake: ¡Oh, unos CD! Genial.
Jake: Oh, CDs! Great.
(Jake mira los CD confuso.)
(Jake looks at the CDs confused.)
Jake: ¿Quién es Marvin Gaye? ¡Tampoco había oído hablar de Janis Joplin!
Jake: Who is Marvin Gaye? Never heard of Janis Joplin either!
Kenneth: ¡Quería que escuchases música de verdad!
Kenneth: I wanted you to listen to real music!
Jake: Oh, pero nunca antes había oído hablar de estos cantantes. ¿Quiénes son "The Doors"? ¡Qué nombre tan raro!
Jake: Oh, but I never heard of these singers. Who are "The Doors"? What a strange name!
Kenneth: Dios mío. ¡La juventud de hoy no tiene ni idea de buena música!
Kenneth: Oh dear. Today's youth has no idea of good music!
(Una semana más tarde...)
(One week later..)
Jake: ¡Papá, tus CD son geniales!
Jake: Dad, your CDs are great!
Kenneth: ¡Sabía que te gustarían!
Kenneth: I knew you would like them!
Jake: Sí. ¡Me gusta Janis Joplin! ¿Podemos ir a su concierto?
Jake: Yes. I like Janis Joplin! Can we go to her concert?
Kenneth: Oh, me temo que ya no está viva.
Kenneth: Oh, I'm afraid she isn't alive anymore.
Jake: Qué pena. Entonces, vamos al concierto de Marvin Gaye.
Jake: Oh, pity. Then let's go to a Marvin Gaye concert.
Kenneth: También está muerto.
Kenneth: He's dead too.
Jake: ¿Y de "The Doors"?
Jake: What about "The Doors"?
Kenneth: El cantante también está muerto. Ahora me siento muy viejo. Posiblemente sea mejor que vayas y vuelvas a escuchar a Justin Bieber.
Kenneth: The singer died too. Now I feel really old. Maybe go and listen to Justin Bieber again.
Jake: Quizás sí. ¡Jaja!
Jake: Maybe yes. Haha!
