Una señora dice, "Sabes, me estoy volviendo muy olvidadiza. Esta mañana, estaba sentada al final de las escaleras y no podía recordar si acababa de subir o si estaba a punto de bajar."
One lady says, "You know, I'm getting really forgetful. This morning, I was standing at the top of the stairs, and I couldn't remember whether I had just come up or was about to go down."
La segunda señora dice, "¿Crees que eso es malo? El otro día, estaba sentada en el borde de mi cama y ¡no podía recordar si iba a dormir o si acababa de despertarme!"
The second lady says, "You think that's bad? The other day, I was sitting on the edge of my bed, and I couldn't remember whether I was going to sleep or had just woken up!"
La tercera señora sonríe con aire de suficiencia.
The third lady smiles smugly.
"Bueno, mi memoria es tan buena como siempre, toco madera", dice mientras golpea la mesa.
"Well, my memory is just as good as it's always been, knock on wood," she says as she raps on the table.
Después, con una mirada sobresaltada en su rostro, pregunta, "¿quién está ahí?"
Then with a startled look on her face, she asks, "Who's there?"
