The Plumber

Walter: ¡Ey, Bill! ¿Qué tal?

Walter: Hey Bill! How's it going?
Bill: Oh, más o menos. Acabo de pagar una fortuna al fontanero.

Bill: Oh, so-so. Just had to pay the plumber a fortune!
Walter: ¿En serio? Sí, pueden ser caros.

Walter: Really? Yes they can be expensive.
Bill: Debería hacerme fontanero. Entonces, ganaría mucho dinero y sin tener que ir a la universidad.

Bill: I should become a plumber. Then I would earn a lot of money and no need to go to university.
Walter: Mi tío era fontanero y decía que era un trabajo duro.

Walter: My uncle was a plumber and he said it's tough work.
Bill: ¿En serio?

Bill: Really?
Walter: Sí, el dolor de espalda y los problemas de rodilla son muy comunes.

Walter: Yes, back pain and knee problems are very common.
Bill: Ya veo. ¿Por eso se ha jubilado?

Bill: I see. Is that why he retired?
Walter: Sí, por esa razón. Ni siquiera tenía 60 años cuando se jubiló.

Walter: Yes, for that reason. He wasn't even 60 when he retired.
