The best friend

Peter contacta con Roman, su viejo amigo del colegio, a través de Facebook. Chatean en línea.

Peter contacts his old school friend Roman through Facebook. They chat online.
Peter: Hola, Roman. Qué bueno hablar contigo otra vez. Guau, ¿cuánto tiempo hace? ¿10 años?

Peter: Hi Roman. Good to talk to you again. Wow, how long has it been? 10 years?
Roman: ¡Peter! Sí, hace 10 u 11 años desde que nos encontramos en una reunión del colegio.

Roman: Peter!! Yes, it's been 10 or 11 years since we met at the school reunion.
Peter: ¿Cómo te van las cosas? ¿Todavía estás trabajando de entrenador en el club de fútbol?

Peter: So how are things? Still working as a coach at the football club?
Roman: No, la verdad es que no.

Roman: No, not really.
Peter: Pero te encantaba jugar al fútbol, ¿no? Solíamos jugar con Rainer todo el tiempo. ¿Por cierto, cómo está Rainer?

Peter: But you loved to play football, no? We used to play with Rainer all the time. How is Rainer by the way?
Roman: ¿Rainer? Oh... ¿no sabes lo que le ha pasado? Murió en el maremoto de 2004.

Roman: Rainer? Oh.. don't you know what happened to him? He died in the tsunami in 2004.
Peter: Oh, dios mío. No sabía eso.

Peter: Oh, my god. I didn't know that.
Roman: Fue a "Khao Lak" con su mujer Christine y nunca regresó. Era mi mejor amigo.

Roman: He went to "Khao Lak" with his wife Christine and never came back. He was my best friend.
Peter: Siento mucho escuchar eso. ¡Era un buen chico!

Peter: So sorry to hear that. He was a nice guy!
