The earthquake


Jack: ¡Hola, Sally! ¿Has visto las noticias?, ha habido un terremoto enorme en Japón.

Jack: Hi Sally! Did you see the news, there was a huge earthquake in Japan.
Sally: ¿En serio? Hoy no he encendido la radio ni la tele.

Sally: Really? Haven't switched on the radio or TV today.
Jack: ¡Ha sido el mayor terremoto jamás registrado en Japón! ¡Además, provocó un gran maremoto!

Jack: It was the biggest earthquake ever record in Japan! Besides, it triggered a huge tsunami!
Sally: ¡Dios mío! Mi hermano está en Japón ahora.

Sally: Oh my god! My brother is in Japan now.
Jack: ¿Dónde está?

Jack: Where is he?
Sally: Está en Fukuoka. Está en el Sur de Japón.

Sally: He is in Fukuoka. That's in the South of Japan.
Jack: El terremoto fue en el Norte, cerca de Sendai.

Jack: The quake was in North, near Sendai.
Sally: ¡Espero que esté bien! ¡Tengo que llamarle ahora mismo! ¡Adiós!

Sally: Oh I hope he is OK! I need to call him right now! Bye!
Jack: Vale, ¡adiós!

Jack: OK bye!
