More snow
Fue un año desastroso para los agricultores.
It was a disastrous year for the farmers.
La nieve cayó y cayó hasta que el gobierno tuvo que intervenir y ayudar.
The snow fell and fell until the government had to step in and help.
"Debe haber sido terrible", le dijo el funcionario al agricultor. "Toda esa nieve".
"It must have been terrible," said the government official to a farmer. "All that snow."
"Podría haber sido peor. Mi vecino tuvo más nieve que yo", contestó el agricultor con calma.
"Could have been worse. My neighbor had more snow than I!" answered the farmer calmly.
"¿Cómo es eso?", le preguntó el funcionario.
"How's come?" asked the government official.
"Más terreno", respondió el agricultor.
"More land," replied the farmer.
