Игорь: "Привет, Пётр! Как дела?"
Igor: Hi Peter! How are things?
Пётр: "Не очень хорошо. Месяц назад моему сыну поставили диагноз диабет."
Peter: Oh, not so good. One month ago my son was diagnosed with diabetes.
Пётр: "Да, это не хорошо. Сколько ему лет?"
Peter: Yes, that's not good. How old is he?
Игорь: "Ему двенадцать."
Peter: He is twelve.
Пётр: "У моего двоюродного брата диабет. Но ему больше сорока, и у него избыточный вес."
Igor: My cousin has diabetes. But he is over 40 and overweight.
Игорь: "У моего сына диабет I типа. У твоего двоюродного брата, скорее всего, диабет II типа."
Peter: My son has type 1 diabetes. Your cousin probably has type 2 diabetes.
Пётр: "Да. А в чём разница?"
Igor: Right. And what is the difference?
Игорь: "Ну, диабет I типа ничего общего не имеет с отсутствием физической активности. Это аутоиммунное заболевание."
Peter: Well, type 1 diabetes has nothing to do with lack of physical activity. It is an autoimmune disease.
Пётр: "То есть, просто невезение."
Igor: So basically just bad luck?
Игорь: "Да. Сейчас моя цель - помочь моему сыну поправиться."
Peter: Yes. Now my goal is to help my son get better.
Игорь: "Удачи! Пока!"
Igor: Good luck! Bye!
Пётр: "Пока."
Peter: Bye!
